The Next Gen
At Sunnyhill, we believe that God has incredible things to do through the Next Generation and that is why we put Him at the centre of all we do.
We believe the Next Generation are key to the plans and purposes of God, they don’t have to wait. We want to raise them, equip them and release them to be all that God has called them to be. Being a Next Generational church is one of our five values.
We want all our kids and youth to encounter God through great worship, powerful messages and hilarious games.
There is a kid’s church at all of our Sunday morning gatherings; in our Poole campus at 9.15 & 11am and at our Ferndown campus at 10.30am.
We love showing all of the awesome things God is doing with our youth here in Next Gen; feel free to follow us on instagram for a taste of who we are and what we do.
Your child’s safety is our first priority. All Next Gen volunteers pass a DBS check, and we ensure child to adult ratios are followed in every Next Gen ministry area. We use a security tag system for child check-in and pick-up, and a paging system for parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the adult church experience.
Your child’s information is important to us. On your first visit, we need the following personal information: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child. This information is entered into our Sunnyhill Church database to help maintain our secure check-in system.
Reception to Yr 5’s
At Sunnyhill, we believe that God has incredible things to do through the Next Generation and that is why we put Him at the centre of all we do. During our Kids Church sessions, the children encounter great worship, play hilarious games and receive powerful messages.
Our kids don’t receive a junior version of the Holy Spirt and that is why in our Pre-Schooler’s Church, we still make worship and learning about God our main priority.
We also play fun games and spend time playing with toys too. Pre-Schoolers Church meet every Sunday at our Poole campus in both our 9:15 & 11am services. This is for Ages 2- 4’s Pre-School age.
Every Sunday at all our services we have a baby zone set up for you and your baby.
There is a live link to the service played to that area and lots of toys for you and your little ones to enjoy.
We also have a host team on hand to bring you tea or coffee and even a bit of cake if you fancy it!
Every Thursday during term time our Sunnytots group meet together, this is our parent and toddler group. There is plenty of exciting toys, comfy chairs and delicious snacks for you and your little one to enjoy. There is also a friendly host team, they are on hand to help at any point of your visit with us.
The group meets at 10:00 – 11:30am. We ask for a small £1 donation and this helps toward buying new toys and little treats throughout the year. We meet at our Corfe Mullen campus.
Our heart is to create healthy connections with parents here at Sunnyhill Church.
The Parent Lounge is a connection point for parents, a place where they can not only connect together but also receive Next Gen event updates & Parent follow up information from our Sunday morning curriculums
Throughout the year we put on incredible events for kids. They are usually a BIG hit and we often have a theme. These are great ways to get your kids inviting their friends to church.
We play amazing games and often at one of our big events one of the Next Gen leaders gets gunged!!! We promise that these events are as safe and secure as our Sunday services, with all team being DBS checked and safeguarding measures always in place. Keep an eye out for our next exciting adventure!!
Friday Night Youth
God is so ready to meet with the Next Generation in a powerful and life changing way, and that is why we make Youth Church a place where we encounter God in a tangible and exciting way.
For School Years 6-13’s, we meet every Friday during term time at our Corfe Mullen campus from 6:30-8:30pm, we play fun games, have inspiring worship and deliver motivating and encouraging messages.
This is a place where the youth family tribe gathers to encounter God.
Taking our youth church experience to a new level is so important for growth.
Our youth from School Years 6-9’s meet after a time of worship and do an engaging bible study together which is usually accompanied by hot chocolate!
We have two youth house groups that run every Monday during term time.
6:30-7:30pm for school year 6-9’s
7:45-8:45pm for school years 10-13’s.
We are usually discussing a hot topic and always make room to pray for each other. This is a place where we can engage with one another and go deeper in God’s Word.
