WE ARE SERVED BY THE STAFF TEAM
Sunnyhill’s Staff Team are responsible for the day to day delivery, operations and ministry execution.
Dom Bird
Dom serves by giving oversight to all aspects of the ministry of Sunnyhill. He preaches regularly and spear heads the Senior Leadership and Staff Team. He also serves on the National Leadership Team of the movement we are affiliated to - The ACUK.
Loo Bird
Loo serves as the Ministry Director at Sunnyhill. Her role involves equipping and releasing people into leadership and supporting areas of ministry across the church.…
Jo Jackson
Jo serves as our Operations Manager who’s work is found more behinds the scenes – overseeing admin, finance, communication and the overall running of our services on a Sunday.
Adam Bird
Adam serves by leading the Ferndown Campus - preaching regularly and helping to oversee the Sunnyhill website and all things tech related.
Emmy Fennell
Emmy serves as our Youth Oversight.
Her role is to oversee our central youth work, bringing vision and structure to our Nxt Gen programme.
She also oversees a committed team of Nxt Gen Leaders. Bringing regular training to further equip and continued support for the team.

Sunnyhill’s SLT (Senior Leadership Team) are committed members of the church family who oversee the Spiritual direction and doctrine of Sunnyhill.
Dom & Loo Bird
Dom and Loo have been married since 2007 and have three lively boys and a dopey cockapoo. They love days at the beach, playing sport, watching movies, eating good food, and going on dog walks through the forest.
They have been involved in Sunnyhill leadership since 2006, serving as the Senior Leaders since 2012.
They have a heart to build a Jesus-centric and Holy Spirit filled church that is generous, innovative, growing, pursing excellence and passionate about the next generation. They truly believe that the local church is the hope of the world.
Adam & Fru Bird
Adam and Fru Bird lead the Sunnyhill Ferndown Campus. They have been married for 28 years and have five kids ranging from pre-school to adult.
For over 20 years, they have served in various church leadership roles including Worship, Creative Arts, teaching and Pastoral work.
Fru recently completed a Masters Degree in Christian Leadership.
They both have a passionate care for the people of their community and a heart to see people of all ages discover their purpose, follow the Living God and flourish.
Colin & Jo Mengell
Colin & Jo Mengell have been married since 2000 and have 2 great teenage kids. Passionate, Spirit filled Christians since their teens, they have served in many leadership roles within churches. Elder, Small Group Leaders, Welcome Team Leader, Worship Leader, Events Coordinator, Alpha Course Leaders, Teachers and all-round Comedy Hosts!
They serve God as an Independent Mortgage Adviser & an NHS Occupational Therapist by day and then by night as Church Senior Leaders with a heart for people. Having welcomed & discipled so many into the Sunnyhill family they are excited to see them grow into a blessing to others.
WE ARE SUPPORTED BY THE TRUSTEE TEAM
Sunnyhill’s Trustees are members of the Sunnyhill church family who volunteer their time to oversee the financial and legal aspects of running a charity. They protect Sunnyhill’s assets and reputation.
