Prayer and fasting is the best way to start a new year.  Fasting means; to cover your mouth.  It is a biblical practice/discipline where you choose to go without food for a set period of time.  However, it's not merely abstention from food but a deliberate choice to draw near to God. It is a physical and spiritual posture that says, "we choose to deny ourselves and pursue God whole heartedly." Jesus Himself sets an example for us, showing that in moments of seeking God with a focused heart, transformative encounters occur, and breakthroughs unfold.

Our Week of Prayer and Fasting is an opportunity to intentionally create space for God to move in our lives individually and corporately. It is a time of surrender where we lay aside distractions and comforts to draw near to the One who holds the answers to our deepest longings and the keys to our breakthroughs individually and corperately.

Throughout the week we will have daily themes with regular gatherings both on Zoom and in the room (see schedule below).  There will be no Small Groups during this week to create more capacity for you to get involved in the prayer meetings.

Let this week be marked not only by abstaining from certain foods/things but by feasting on the Word of God and spending time with Him. Let the scriptures be our daily bread, nourishing our souls and guiding our prayers. Let our fasting be a symbol of dependence on God, a tangible expression of our hunger and thirst for righteousness.
